These guidelines apply to the extent permitted by local law and regulations. Except in limited circumstances, these guidelines will replace current mobility policies.
Employee Career Mobility Guidelines Before looking for a new job, we recommend that you: - Be in your current job for at least 12 months
- Have achieved at least a consistently strong/3 rating or equivalent performance level in your current job and are not on a written performance improvement plan and/or written disciplinary action
- Meet the minimum requirements of the new job
Once you are involved in the job search process, we recommend that you: - Advise your manager of your interest in other jobs before you receive a formal offer
- Move to your new job two weeks to one month after accepting an offer
Manager and Human Resources Career Mobility GuidelinesManagers and Human Resources professionals are strongly encouraged to: - Give priority consideration to internal candidates
- Consider our commitment to diversity when making hiring decisions
- Be supportive and have open and frank discussions with your employees regarding career opportunities
- Post open positions on the Career Mobility Web site
- Post a position for at least one week on the Career Mobility Web site before extending an offer
- Collaborate with other managers and HR to share appropriate employee performance data before discussing compensation opportunities and/or before making a job offer
- Release your employee two weeks to one month after he/she accepts an internal job offer
- Remain in contact with and ultimately provide feedback to all internal candidates interviewed, regardless of outcome
- Support the mobility of expatriate employees at the beginning and end of their assignments
The guidelines create no obligation for a Citi business to sponsor work authorization, assume relocation expenses, and/or equalize compensation and benefits. Such decisions will continue to be made on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of the business and, when offered, implemented pursuant to applicable plans and policies.
