ACTUARIAL Engages in activities associated with evaluating financial strength of product lines, research, statistical services, and government/regulatory filings as well as actuarial systems, methods, and standards; may also include calculating insurance and annuity premiums, reserves, and dividends.
ADMINISTRATION Plans, directs, coordinates, and supports day-to-day activities of running an organization, department, or business unit; may also provide clerical and general office assistance to executives, managers, and others.
AUDIT Examines and verifies documents and supporting data to render an opinion about their fairness, consistency, and conformity with rules, regulations, and practices including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
BUSINESS MANAGEMENT Directs and coordinates activities of an organization, department, or business unit to maximize profits and obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations.
COMMUNICATIONS, COMMUNITY REALITY & INVESTMENT RELATIONS Develops and directs communication of Citi-related information to internal and external constituents; creates communication strategies to manage and control the flow of information.
COMPLIANCE AND CONTROL Helps the organization meet requirements of legal and regulatory agencies; maintains compliance policies and establishes compliance review procedures; coordinate with regulatory agencies, internal and external entities, and other internal control groups on compliance-related issues.
CREDIT Evaluates individual credit worthiness and administers the lending of capital in the form of mortgages, home equity loans, car loans, and other personal loans, etc.
DECISION MANAGEMENT Generates data-driven strategies that impact business methods and create opportunities for future franchise growth through an analytical discipline focused on modeling, universe segmentation and expansion, pricing, and customer, and business and product analysis.
Expense Management The Expense Management function is responsible for developing a strategy for companywide expense efficiency and controls and partnering with lines of business in order to execute actual cost savings. Within this function the areas of focus include: Procurement, Travel Management, Print Services, and Expense Efficiency and Analytics.
FACILITIES Engages in activities associated with buildings, complexes, plants, structures, systems, units, and/or work areas in which employees perform work; may also include other building-linked services such as catering, cleaning, and other related services provided by a third party.
FINANCE Analyzes financial information and prepares financial reports to determine or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization.
GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS Manage and direct political activity for Citi. Participate in the governmental process (executive, legislative, regulatory) at the international and the United States federal, state, and local levels. Negotiate and execute the management of complex government relation issues, including proactive and defensive legislative campaigns. Manage government officials' and internal clients' queries and concerns. Communicate and forecast political developments. Manage trade association relationships and membership in political advocacy and governmental organizations.
HUMAN RESOURCES Provides advice and guidance to all levels of management on creating and implementing human resources policies and procedures on recruitment, compensation and benefits, conditions of employment, performance management, labor and industrial relations, and health and safety.
INVESTMENT BANKING Plans investment strategies and raises capital for large clients and institutions.
INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT Works with capital to create more money through income-producing vehicles or more risk-oriented ventures on behalf of the organization or others.
LEGAL Manages and directs legal activities in response to internal and external customer legal queries, issues, and concerns; provides legal guidance and advice.
MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS Formal training programs, under the direction of skilled personnel, in which the participant gains knowledge and experience required for professional advancement. After the training program is completed, Management Associates, Class-Year Analysts, and Class-Year Associates return to school or the job they had prior to joining the Management Development Program or they transfer to a new job.
MARKETING Promotes and directs marketing or service activities, works to improve the organization's product image, and gathers market data and information to help meet customers' needs and obtain value; activities also include analyzing competition, positioning new or existing products or services, product pricing, and promotions through advertising, public relations, and sales.
OPERATIONS Engages in activities associated with providing day-to-day monitoring -- including the maintenance, control, and improvement -- of activities required to produce goods or services for consumers; may include service centers and specialized support tools.
OPERATIONS CREDIT OPERATIONS Staff in this area is responsible to capture and record data on credit exposures, obligors and facilities in relevant credit systems, implement proper approval levels per policies and programs, maintain data quality in credit reporting systems, monitor and report on credit exposure compared to approved credit lines and facilities and escalate excess and other exceptions for decisions. Staff in this area is also responsible for activities across of all stages of collections operations including inbound collections, skip tracing and all due stage collections.
OPERATIONS CUSTOMER SERVICE Individuals in this job family are involved with handling all internal and external customer questions and queries and include any employee involved in delivering service to the customer.
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT Directs and coordinates the promotion of product to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position; may work directly with external customers and/or internal staff.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT Follows established project management methodology to enhance business performance through business projects/initiatives from inception through implementation; uses and/or instructs others on project planning, control, execution, and closing phases of each project.
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT Fosters customer relationships that build loyalty and increase sales; provides solutions to customers using the full range of products and services.
RESEARCH Engages in activities associated with in-depth investigation, inquiry, or analysis of financial data, market information, and/or securities; may forecast business, industry, and economic conditions as well as market trends.
RISK MANAGEMENT Identifies and analyzes risks to which the organization is exposed, assesses potential impacts on the business, and decides what action can be taken to eliminate or reduce risk and deal with the impact of unpredictable events causing loss or damage.
SALES Sells a single product or service or the entire range of an organization's products or services.
SECURITIES TRADING Buys and sells securities and/or their derivatives to external customers.
SECURITY Defines or provides procedures designed to prevent a loss to a facility, business, or system through physical attack or sabotage, financial fraud, misappropriation, embezzlement, or electronic hacking of information systems.
TECHNOLOGY Engages in activities associated with communications systems and/or computer systems used to acquire, create, record, store, organize, exchange, disseminate, retrieve, and use information in its various forms (business data, voice conversations, still images, motion pictures, multimedia presentations, and other forms).
TRAINING, DEVELOPMENT, AND LEARNING Engages in activities associated with knowledge transfer, skill development, and coaching designed to improve skills, behavior, and/or performance.
TRANSPORTATION Engages in activities associated with the business of conveying passengers or goods.
